Today we are going to jump on a plane and head to a place that I have ever personally been. We are going to fly 5,248 miles to Brasov Romania. Brasov is in the Transylvania region in Romania which is by the Carpathian Mountains. Brasov is known for there medieval Saxon Walls and the black gothic style church.

When traveling to any place there are a few things that you should always know. The first would have to be what languages that the natives speak, and here the most common is Romanian but there might be a few others. The next would have to be currency and in Brasov they use Leu but larger hotels might except the Euros. And lastly, something you might want to know is some of their customs.

When traveling to a new country on vacation you always have to be aware of what the weather is going to be like. Typically during the year, the summers are comfortable and the winters are cold and dry with the temperature ranging between 2°F and 75°F. The articles had all said it was best to go during the months of June to August because that is when the weather is best and the most comfortable.

While exploring the city you will most likely work up an appetite and have to stop for some of the local cuisines. Have no fear I am here to give you just a few recommendations of places to go and maybe some food that you will just have to try. Upon doing research I have found that Roata Norocului has the best authentic food that you can buy. Some of the traditional foods that can be found are Tochitură (stew), Ciorbă (traditional soup), and Salată de vinete (roasted eggplant salad) and let me say they all sound really good.

If you are really interested in a city with a lot of history this is the place for you. While exploring the city you will find that there are many walking tours you can take. You can also go to the Council Square named Piata Sfatului, you can visit one of the largest gothic churches the Biserica Neagra, or even just spend your day in one of there lively cafes.

When researching all about Brasov I found that I might really want to go there in the future. I might not want to stay there for a week or more but I think it would be a really pretty city to visit and learn about their culture and history. When thinking about a vacation most people think about white sandy beaches and Disney world but sometimes it is really nice to go somewhere where you can learn about a new city.

This blog was so interesting to read! She talks about Brasov Romania which is 5,248 miles away! I loved how she talked about the weather, the food, and what the city is known for. This place looks so cool and I’d definitely want to see it when I’m older and hopefully traveling the world :)
